The tools we use for proposing our design provide results which are occasionally accepted. While the same tools are extensively used for commercial/ industrial purposes.

so, a question whether the premises of the tool, its methods and assumptions are scientific and reliable
But simulative tools were introduced because state of art experimental laboratories can not be established easily and everywhere. Any institute or research lab may face administrative or financial issues to manage the resources. In that case we may lean on simulations. But are not we defeating the purpose of simulative tools by rejecting their results?
i doubt whether simulation tools themselves are rejected.
i think you need to consider validity and reliability of the outcomes. this can cause the methodology and the tools to be rejected.
