I have conducted a novelty induced behavior experiment, with mice as experimental animals, for a new compound and I observed significant activity (at very low doses) but when i carried out forced swim test and Tail flick test to determine if the compounds have antidepressant activity, no activity was observed (the data collected showed there was no significant activity) and an analysis of the experimental animals' brains did not show any effect on the brain so I wish to know the reasons for the observation or perhaps what can be done to improve the antidepressant experiments
