Why celebrate the new year?
So that we can have a logical break, recharge & start anew. Just like every week we have weekend to demarcate an old & a new week. Also want to take this opportunity to wish every RG member a blessed holiday & new year ahead.
Who is the authority to decide such distinction in months...If we know that then only we can celebrate completely a Very Happy New Year..otherwise perhaps not...

There are many types of celebration on this day depend on the peoples' traditions. Some people began new year with harvest time and they were to perform certain ceremonies to get rid of the past and purify themselves or the new year. While ancient Egyptians were celebrating new year's during the Nile flood.
