I am confused because some papers have written that rhizobium inoculum can increase yield and nodulation of rajma and some says that due to unavailability of cross inoculation group, rajma can't fix nitrogen. What about the truth??
@ Soumyasesh, although rajma is a leguminous plant but it does not have nodule as they have symbiosis with some other nitrogen fixing bacteria, therefore, they can not use atmospheric nitrogen like other leguminous plants.
There may be problem in recognition of Rhizobium to Rajma root due to incompatible signaling molecule. In this checkpoint, some opportunistic free living or associative N-fixers assembles and congregate in Rajma rhizosphere and fix atmospheric N and meet the demand of Rajma.
