I have found that NAO "Granger" causes precipitation with a time lag of 8 months, using data from 1980-2007.
However, using bigger data, specifically from 1980-2020 my findings are different. I have found with this dataset that NAO "Granger" causes precipitation with time lag of 1,2,3,...,11 months.
How can this be justified?
Can you explain your question a bit more so that many of us can understand it?

Mr Michael Issigonis firstly, I used data of NAO and precipitation from the period 1980-2007, in order to find if NAO causes precipitation. I have found that the only correlation happens with a time lag of 8 months.
After, I used data from 1980-2020 (before my data was until 2007), and I have found that there is correlation with time lag of 1 month, 2 months to 11 months.
My question is why with bigger data set, there is correlation not only with 8 months delay, but with 1 to 11 months delay.
