Why BAC is more preferred over YAC in gene cloning?

Nowadays, BAC is more preferred over YAC in the labs as an essential research tool in cloning processes .Why is BAC preferred than YAC ?

I assume because they are smaller and tend to break less from mechanical forces. A friend told me YACs are hell to work with. Also, many YACs will be linear while BACs in general are circular which makes them easier?
