Why are there some differences between r and q values of the UNIQUAC model for each material in the literature?

The values vary from one resource to another, especially for cations and anions. For example, for r parameter of Cl-, different values between 1 and 3 and for q parameter of Cl-, different values between 1 and 2.13 have been reported. In the case of using each pair of r and q, distinct interaction parameters will be obtained. Is the final result of calculating the activity coefficient the same or not? How can I find the best r and q parameters for ions?
