I think that education in general is going through a period of scientific and intellectual weakness and stagnation, especially the scientific researcher!
It is not necessarily true that there are no new theories being developed in the human, management and economic sciences. In fact, there is a great deal of ongoing research and development in these fields that is contributing to the evolution of knowledge and understanding. It is possible that some people might perceive a lack of new theories because some of the foundations of these sciences have been well-established and the pace of paradigm-shifting new discoveries might appear slow in comparison. New discoveries tend to build on previous work, and may not be as revolutionary as their predecessors, so they might not be as visible in the public eye. Nonetheless, research continues to deepen our knowledge of these fields and advance our understanding of the world.
What about institutional economics and behavioral economics? They have greatly advanced economic science forward. Or do you want a direct scientific revolution according to Kuhn?
