I do not think technology or engineering are ''core''!. basic science are considered as core elements of schools. but when it comes to engineering, it is the application of science, namely physics, mathematics, chemistry and son. I believe we do not really need to teach our pupils how to be a good engineer or expert in any fields of technology, but we DO need them to learn critical thinking, basic science, thinking out of box, being creative and innovative......More importantly, we need them to learn moral issues, human rights, religious tolerance and ..... Engineering and technology should be based on important primary issues that are fundamental for human beings thrive.
I do not believe we need to focus too much on engineering and technology in childhood.
"Fundamental rights" the word must erased out and replaced by "Fundamental duties. With any logic Engineering and Technology are not fundamental rights. They should not be taught at early stage. At early stage only one aspect must be taught and inculcated deep in mind and that aspect is "Values of life" . Education should aim primarily at making "a good man" and secondly as good Engineer/Doctor etc
