Why am I obtaining a broad Raman background signal around 600cm-1, upon using an IR polished calcium fluoride substrate on 785 nm laser?

I am also obtaining a common sharp peak at around 1649cm-1 , irrespective of any measurements i take on any given sample. What could be the source? Could it be a cosmic ray or from contamination on CCD camera?

Your suggestions are highly welcome.
