In the course of work-from home for more than a year, a work done completely at home needs institute affiliation or home's address ?
How this works for the early stage researcher's who are very mobile ?
Do you have any idea of how it may impact the following -
What are Health effects ?
How it effects sustainability ?
Is there any study on growth impacts ?
What about energy and environment ?
How it impacts the ecology and environment ?
How it impacts the local economy ?

Kushwaha , I believe even young researchers should have an affiliation; they should follow a certain institution or company, otherwise, how are they supposed to get ethical approval and fund for their research, if that is solved, then there should be no problem in working from home, if this can be done.
In my opinion, affiliation is not important. It is important for universities. When a researches affiliate to the university, then in many countries universities are getting points. And their rating is higher.
In theory, I agree with Roman Lewandowski - affiliation should not matter. In practice, however, many journals (and human nature in general) lend credibility to affiliation with trusted and/or prestigious sources (e.g., companies, government agencies, universities, etc.). Unfortunately, editorial boards are often quick to desk reject manuscripts (without peer review) that originate from fully independent researchers. At the least, I would encourage you to seek out a journal that ensures a double-blind peer review policy. Hope this helps! Best regards,
