Why did you choose to become an academic? Because you're curious? Are you a good observer? Do you have good language or writing skills? Do you want to be known and read? Is there some ego involved in this choice? And can it be done to make more money?
I have chosen to be an academic for many reasons; during my master's studies, I realized that I can be quite a lady researcher, and so I continued to be a scientific researcher in my field of teaching methodology. Until now, I have understood that with my academic ability I can serve my community in different ways, i.e. by doing research that responds to the demands of my community, for example students, professors, etc., by holding informative sessions, enabling them to youth for the new era of education, initiating various activities, etc. With all this, I want to say that I want to use my ability as an academic for the good of people, but never for fame, ego or something similar.
I have chosen to become a researcher because I love research and I want to share my research with other researchers. In fact, my goal is to contribute something to academia. Research is meant to be published and shared with others, so that they can gain insights from it and replicate it in other contexts.
