WHO Has not given the right strategy at the right time; and saying is easy, 'stay home stay safe' but the people who are on daily wages and who have to come out of their homes to survive on daily basis, then what is the meaning of this slogan?

In the first place, WHO disseminate the wrong policy and strategy, so, what can you expect from countries relying on them. What happened to Brazil, the USA, and Europes?

Many countries were led to believe that COVID-19 will fade away all by itself. A complete leadership failure has led to a disastrous situation.

The world was not prepared to deal with such unusual pandemic. It is viral in cause with not immunization and no specific treatment. It is rapidly spreading (Very high incidence rate) difficult to trace with all means. A high proportion of asymptomatic cases who are infectious to others. People were not well prepared to comply with preventive and protective measures . Many deny the existence of a dangerous pandemic. All these factors and others made the response a bit late and ineffective yet. In addition, the world is very wide but interlinked as if it is a village. These interlinking made transmission among countries very uncontrollable. Social media contributed substantially to misinformation among the public. One of the results of all this is that countries may adopt a strategy to live with COVID-19 at least for sometime.

Countries can not blame the WHO for their wrong policies in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. If you look around there are failures as well as success stories globally.

This is just a poor preventive preparation!

Eastern European countries that have not yet lost their understanding of the conception of the role of prevention have not suffered so much. In Bulgaria for decades, we studied from other rich countries and without even realizing whether all reforms should be done, we neglected specialties like the epidemiology of infectious diseases, infectious diseases, virology, and occupational diseases. After all, ahead will be a policy of preparedness for prevention, and then trade laws in medicine.

We cannot say any strategy is wrong or right. Everybody is doing his/her best to contain the spread of the pandemic and deal with the associated issues.

In fact much information about the viral disease were changed many times ex. the distance between individuals and so on , let the individuals and countries struggle with wrong strategies.

I support that clearly. Some countries receiving funds from donors decided to purchase very expensive vehicles that does not have any benefit to the affected ones. As some countries did purchasing medical equipment, Ambulances set many testing laboratories etc. Such purchase has a direct benefit and can also help in the fight against Covid - 19

I believe upto 70-80% countries failed to handle this pandemic as it was quite unusual but on the same hand when the countries were badly affected by virus, the major focus was still the economy not the virus

Different countries have different strategies and there is no sign of global unity. Lack of seriousness and inadequate preparedness make the pandemic beyond control. Not only individual level, decision-making problems were in the top most level in different countries. Even WHO was confused several times and its role is not out of controversy.

Yes Muhammed you are right by saying that different counties have different strategies. Although some of the countries their strategies implemented seeks the interest of their people in fighting the Covid-19 and that is why some of them do not experienced a large number of cases e.g The Gambia. But unlike other countries the leaders are having self interest by purchasing comfortable vehicles for themselves while they continue to have many cases. Also in many countries there was no emergency preparedness plan to follow in fighting the Covid -19

As stubborn and dynamic a pandemic like COVID 19 is, successes and failure are part of the process to learn and unlearn. Failure in containing the virus elsewhere have taught to succeed in mitigating its spread elsewhere. Hence not surprising with this valid point to discuss and contemplate!

People in many countries still dont care about the COVID-19 pandemic.

Disinformation is greater than practical information (=what helps, what is effective? ).

The politization of the virus makes this worse.

It is not possible to police a virus.

Effective preventive measures are the only rationale.

Avoiding as much as possible the ‚incubator conditions of closed spaces and bad air quality‘ seems to be paramount, for example.

Some countries just had to be better prepared and should have dealt with the pandemic more seriously.
