The choices in 1987 after the Bruntland Commission published "Our Common Future" were in my humble opinion "business as usual(dirty economy) or not business as usual(less dirty economies) and less dirty economies won.

In the last Rio process the choices were "to continue with the less dirty economy or to move to the clean economy"; and to continue with the less dirty economy won.

In the next Rio process given current levels or social and environmental degradation tending toward the worse side the choices will be "to continue with the less dirty economies still or to transition to a clean economy", which option do you think will win?.  Especially now that a new framework agreement has been signed in 2015 in Paris confirming the continue development path through dirty economies.  Who do you think will win the next round of RIO process?....Just food for thoughts.
