Dear Sanan Raza, I think it is a Brookfield viscometer. It seems a new one. If so, it should be furnished with a manual in which tables specify the type of the spindle and RPM according to the range of viscosity under investigation.
You can select any spindle and RPM combination that provide a stable reading (not much fluctuating) and reproducible. You may notice that the reading is too low or too high for a given spindle+RMP them try to change the combination to make sure that the value is not towards to extreme ends of measurements.
One more important criteria is % torque. Watch this one for all readings. The % torque should be between 10-90%. I personally prefer between 30%-80% as a safety zone.
Once you optimized Spindle + RPM + % Yield write in the register near the viscometer as a standard setting for next experiments or calibration for you or others to follow.
Thank you all for your valuable inputs. To start the measurements, 6RPM, 29 spindle at 37c temperature was chosen (0.5ml). Though, the reading fluctuation is high. I will try all the given inputs. Regards
