From a social policy perspective, I am curious to see the similarities and differences in the outcomes in the management of Covid-19 between different countries on the basis of levels of commodification of the provision of health services, the levels of social stratification and the role of the state and markets. Will countries with highly commodified and stratified systems, where markets and capital play a dominant role in health care, fare better than those where health is a social right?
