It is a privilege to write to you to seek for assistance. I wish to be advised on a theory. My research topic is "Instructional supervision in developing teachers' competence''. I am considering how supervisory strategies such as classroom observation, collaborative learning, monitoring, coaching and in-service training contribute to develop teachers' competence( Knowledge and skills).

I am asked to find a theory on competence, mentorship, supervision, etc. i have proposed several which i was told don't fit.

Your recommendations will be of a great help to me.
