Dear community,
for my master’s thesis I’ve been using the "Damage Evolution Law" feature available in ANSYS to calculate the failure behavior of FRP composite structures using FEM simulation. Within the Damage Evolution Law, two different options are available:
- Material Property Degradation
- Continuum Damage Mechanics
Right now I’m trying to figure out on which theoretical approach the two models are based. Could you provide a reference to the research papers in which the respective approaches were developed? Unfortunately, I could not find such a bibliography in either the Theory Reference or the Material Reference.
