Which technique is better to use for heavy metal detection in biological samples (dry and fine powder of quantity ranging from 0.03 to 5 milligram )?
ICP /(MS) is probably the method of choice for this type of analysis, as stipulated in many answers on this forum before.
Depends on the technique you have available to analyse your samples, either AAS or ICP-OES/MASS, the expected heavy metal contents and in the specific requirement for the digestion method. But anyways high metals amount go for AAS, OES, low concentrations go for MASS.
ICP-MS is a better option for heavy metal analysis.
if your institute doesn't have one, go for AAS (but consumes a lot of time)
Your detection range is not very low therefore, i will suggest you AAS.
