I'm working on study I developed for my doctorate requirements. I am trying to figure out which statistical tool I need to use. My questionnaire has a question on it that had the participants rank factors on a scale of 1-12 that motivate them for work (along the factors of Herzberg's motivational-hygiene theory). I want to accomplish two things: 1. I want to show how each of those factors ranked and 2. I want to show how those 12 factors correlate to job motivation and job satisfaction. I've been researching and I think I should use the Friedman Test. I believe I would do a correlation test for #2, but I cannot figure out if I need to do a Spearman's ranked correlation or a Pearson's r. Any suggestions?
