I would like to know which statistical test I should use for the following scenario.

I have 1700 farmers that answered my survey, 800 people answered an open ended question, the rest did not.

Now I would like to test if theres is a statistical difference between these two groups regarding some other answers (e.g. one question was if they are organic or conventional, or some yes/no questions). E.g. are there significantly more organic famers in the group that answered the open ended questions. So I need a test for pure categorical variables.
