I just stumbled across an article which gives an overview of the Viva Voce podcast http://www.vivavocepodcasts.com/ created to help young researchers promote their interests through displaying their profiles and publications. I have also read many interesting articles on Dissertation Reviews http://dissertationreviews.org/ - a site which publishes short reviews of archives, library collections, unpublished dissertations and related research young researchers are involved in. Are there any other similar initiatives (sites and social media) to encourage inexperienced researchers or where they can look for help from established scholars? The mentioned sites target PhD students in the fields of humanities and social science. I am also interested in sites that may include other fields, BA and MA students.
