I have to estimate gross as well as net primary productivity of a needle leaf temperate forest ecosystem using a Landsat image. Which sensor can I use to retrieve PAR values since I don't have any available from my local meteorological stations. Besides, I also need to know that whether I should use NDVI or EVI to calculate the value of fPAR?

Thanks Partha Sarathi Karmakar for getting me relevant and purposeful material. But I am still confused with quantification of PAR that whether it is 50% of Global Horizontal Irradiation (GHI). Can you please make me clear on if PAR is 50% of Global Horizontal Irradiation (GHI) i.e PAR=0.5*GHI or I am mistaken.
