I want to test a scale for measurement invariance with WLSMV estimator. I was wondering which scale setting method I should use. The "marker" variable setting seems not the best method, as it has some undesirable consequences (e.g. when the marker variable is NOT invariant across groups). However, I'm not sure if the fixed factor method is the proper solution.

Does anyone know some literature concerning this issue?
