Hi, it depends if it is a quantitative or qualitative study. However, I would go for a purposeful sampling approach as sampling is usually non-randomised in quasi studies.

The defining characteristic of quasi-experimental design is that it does use random assignment between treatment and control groups. But all kinds of sampling can be used within the study groups, so it would help to know more about your specific project.
