One suggestion - to get more specific answers state the problem you need to solve. What spatial resolution you need?

If the question is for soil moisture, several datasets are available.

I need to estimate daily changes of soil moisture in the spatial resolution of 1 km. It seems I have to use downscaling methods.

There are very few (or none) RS satellites that can let you perform that task. I suggest you take a look to MODIS instruments, which are on board of Terra and Aqua satellites.

No Space-borne SAR sensor has temporal resolution of 1 day. You have to either use air-borne SAR sensor or you can use passive microwave radiometer data from operational missions like SMOS.

Sentinel-1 will have a revisit time of 6 days (with two satellites in orbit)...
