I am writing my thesis and it has three sub research questions. Every research question is answered via different research methodologies. I want to know what will be the combined research methodology for this?
Question 1: Perform competitor analysis -> Desk Research
Question 2: Identify Critical Success Factors -> Qualitative Interview
Question 3: Gather Customer Insights -> Quantitative Survey
How can I combine these and conclude my dissertation?
If the qualitative study that you do helps develops the content of your survey, then that would be a sequential exploratory design in mixed methods research.
You have chosen these three approaches so presumably you had a reason beyond expediency. I suggest you use the strengths of one to challenge the weaknesses of another and vice versa, think of triangulation. I doubt whether being able to call it something retrospectively is a valid and worthwhile defence.
Well, I wish we knew your main research objective to provide a suitable answer. However, with what I know, your three questions, together, provide answers to your main research objective (s), otherwise, you wouldn't be doing it in the first place!
This is a mixed-method study with a 'parallel' or 'a sequential' design, depending upon how you are using your qualitative and quantitative parts.
Why not change your mind and use only quantitative methodology. If you agree to do that, you can have three hypotheses that match the three research questions. You can do that and save yourself the headache of using different methodologies
