If I am running a two-way ANOVA, and the result is that there are NO significant differences between the factors of the independent variables separately, but there IS an effect of one independent variable on the other (the intercept),
which Post Hoct test should I use to know exactly how one independent variable affects the other in the result of the dependent variable? which software can be useful?
I have already tried several such as Tukey and Duncan, but those only analyze the factors inside the variables and that is not useful to me since, as I mentioned, there are no significant differences there.
What software are you using ? Usually the best approach is to use LSMEANS or EMMEANS for post-hoc comparisons.

1) Please upload a plot of the cell means that shows the nature of the interaction.
2) Please tell us if one of the variables is a focal explanatory variable with the other one being a "moderator" or "effect modifier".
