So many plant have antip- entamoeba activities

Many bioacti compounds reported for anti entamoeba activities

Gonglonema latifolium

ethanolic root extract has little or no effect on the

RBC count and haemoglobin content of blood but

causes an increase in total WBC count probably by

increasing monocytes and eosinophils in the blood.

The extract was also observed to contain abundant

polyphenols and moderate amounts of alkaloids,

glycosides and reducing sugars which would have

contributed to the observed effect of the extract on

the blood parameters.

May be Argemone mexicana extract contain alkaloid Berbarene may act against Entamoeba Histolytica
