I have a magic formula tire model and I want to change the type of the road in this model. For example I want the road to be snowy. Which parameters should I change for this purpose and what are the new values?
In fact a snowy road affects vehicles in different ways.
Fr is reduced over contact surface due to the reduction of combined adhesion and indentation parametrers, but in opposite you could experience snow acretion in front of the tire that can increase the resistance to advance.
Remember that conventional tire formulas slow down its performance below 7º Celsius ( 44,6 ºF).
What do you mean by "I have a magic formula tire model" ?
Do you have a .tir file ?
This file has been measured on a given test bench (usually a Flat-Trac), corresponding to a certain grip condition. You may change "a little" the road grip using the scaling factors of the .tir file, but this won't give correct results for such a drastic change as a snowy road condition
Dear Mr. Cabrol. Do you know what software is using Mr. Ali Analooee? Because I asked about it in my first answer but I don't receive an answer that could help me to improve my advice.
Don't worry and forget my last answer I found may be the most possible answer is the Matlab code written by Hans B. Pacejka.
