As majority of schools transition to online or blended learning, which platform will you recommend? I teach a technology course in a Masters Degree program for medical doctors and prior to COVID-19, we were basically doing face to face classes. Typical class is around 15 - 20 doctors with age range between 35-70 years old. So basically if we decide to commence classes in August, I don't think we will be able to conduct it the way we used to. Budget will be very constrained (I don't think the school will invest heavily on this). May I know what will you recommend? Google classroom, Canvas or Moodle? Thanks in advance, I think I will be asked on my recommendations on our virtual meeting this Saturday.

I prefer Moodle, but will add that Google Meet or Hangouts Meet app (Android) helps a lot to teachers and students...

According to me, Moodle is an e-learning platform very easy to use. But i think also that the platform: Blackboard ( www.blackboard.com ) is more interactive and more useful.
Jazira Thank you. for your inputs. Will check out Moodle. It used to be very popular here. Blackboard might give a learning curve for most of my colleagues but will check it out as well.
I prefer moodle platform. Also use padlet, socrative, quizlet and another. For meeting with students prefer zoom.
As for the funny way of teaching via the Internet and the education platform, there are many programs, but each platform has the characteristics and characteristics that lead the educational process. Through my experience on the Classroom platform, it is an excellent and effective platform with students.

To Ryan Ebardo : It is not easy to answer which tool is the best or... For the first time I learned about Moodle in 2006, and since then I am using it very often, so that is why I wrote I prefer it. Since the middle of March 2020 I am using Google Meet for on-line teaching (math teacher). I can share whole desktop, particular window or even google chrome tab. Also I am able to record my lectures, recordings will be automatically stored at my google disk... In other words, for my needs Moodle and Google Meet are such great combo, and helping to me a lot, as well as to my students...
I prefer moodle because it has various advantages and technologies

@Ryan: One solution does not fit all. But Google Hangout Meet + google classroom together satisfies most of the online teaching requirements.
It depends on the features that you need. Google classroom is free, but it does not have features like Canvas. The one thing I like with Canvas is the assessment tools. Canvas Provide better assessment tools than google classroom. However, I did not get a free mobile app for Canvas. I enjoy so much with Schoology because this App can be accessed on mobile and desktop. Furthermore, Schoology has an excellent feature for assessment.

Google classroom. Also there has Edmodo it is also a goog platform to teach.
Sure! While the 15 to 17 year-old students love the app to supplement their learning environment, we did not receive the same level of enthusiasm from our busy medical students. For these younger students, they get so excited when the teachers give them nuggets of bite-sized learning thru the app and they get to draw on authentic real life examples into the class discussion on applying what they've learned in class to the real world. They applaud and embrace a seamless learning environment of experiential learning in learning journeys of experiments and out of classroom lessons. The gamification with MCQs. discussion forum and leaderboard got them all so excited about learning this way. Our busy doctors on the other hand are so overworked and task oriented that they would rather have protected time for learning so face-to-face lectures and tutorials are welcome. Having said that, most of them still acknowledge the affordances of the app and appreciate the accessibility and anytime, anywhere learning opportunities.

Depends on the method of the lecture if you want to record the lecture and send it to students I think PresentationTube is very useful program.

It depends on the usage situation and the number of human actors involved in the educational process. In the case of academic institutions where there are several learners, several teachers, several training courses with longer training periods, Moodle platform is recommended, due to its advantages and features. While for individual cases or time-limited use, solutions like google classroom can be easy and simple ones.
