In order to give an adequate answer, first that should be defined which is the best biodiesel? The cheapest? or the one which contains small amount of saturated or longer chain fatty acid ester to avoid of cloud point increasing? Or which contains small amount of polyunsaturated fatty acid ester in order to avoid of oxidative instability? I think, most of the triglycerides can produce a good biodiesel, the question is, how much amount of the fraction of the formed biodiesel will fulfill a given conditions. The winter ytpe biodiesel contains larger amount of polysaturated fatzy acids with lower stability and with shorter alkyl chains, the summer type contains other type fgatyta cids as well, with higher carbon number, higher cloud point, etc., but it has higher combustion heat together with higher cloud point and higher Conradson number.
