Nanomaterials are now being used in the construction industry. They are being used for their electrical, mechanical, and adhesive properties. I would like to learn more about this from those who are in this area of research.
I think that Carbon nanotubes should do the job. In a simple experiment mix CNTs (less than 0.1%) with cement and you will get better crack resistance and maybe less crack propagation phenomena. CNTs could be easily dispersed with a non-ionic surfactant in water and the rest i think you know it...
