You may find comprehensive analysis of PCM in the attached paper. However, some studies ignore the buoyancy force in the melting phase of the PCM. But experimental works demonstrate some discrepancies between the results obtained by considering and neglecting the buoyancy force in the melting phase.

Not needed CFD soultions you can use one dimensional energy analysis with melting.
