I've been studying strategies about learning and teaching in management courses. Thus, I believe that the "flipped classroom" is a good way to assess the student during assessment for learning. Another good strategy is the "peer instruction", the class is conducted mixing quick lectures, brief tests, debate about the aswers when students argue about them, and the teacher explanations.
Yes, I agree with Prof Kruel too. Another way especially with school children, use games as interesting way to access them with presents for some high scores.
Yes, Prof. Ghazali, I agree. The games can be a good option, even in the university. In management courses, we can adopt games as business simulators, specially in the two final years, when the students can use their knowledge, experiences and skils to conduct their "virtual business".
For me, the best assessment for learning was observation and questioning each and every day. Any other form of assessment tended to be confirmatory or corrective.

Nowadays there're lots of free apps and tools to explore such as padlet, moodle, comix and slideshare.net which can beat the collaboration among them.
