Hi everyone!

Recently I wanted to determine the cytokines in the lung homogenates and BALF by ELISA for rat sepsis-induced lung tissue injury, my procedure is, left lung lobe for BALF collection and after recording weight, inferior lobe of right lung was separated for digestion and homogenization.

  • my question is,which of these two methods is more effective to reflect the degree of the lung injury?
  • another question is, will any another alternative solution can reflect the degree of sepsis-induced lung injury.

Thank you very much!!!
