Most researchers nowadays have dual accounts. One at RG and other is at google scholar. Both sites have different parameters that reflect researcher achievement. In your opinion which one is more scientific.
I'd say that lots of researchers nowadays have *several* accounts. RG and Google Scholar are widely used but there are many more: ResearcherID, Scopus, ORCID, ImpactStory, Academia.edu...
All using some metric to measure one's "impact" (like h-index).
All these metrics depend on what you consider "impact" or "achievement" and are often controversial.
