XRD results indicate that there are significant peak broadening and peak shifting in cold rolled Ti64 alloy (10 % cold rolled).
1- Is it logical to relate peak broadening to the lattice strain during deformation?
2- which kind of stress is responsible for lattice strain ? (plastic or elastic)?
3- Is there any relationship between dislocation density and lattice strain value?

2- The residual stresses, which are measured by XRD, are caused by plastic deformation.

In addition to the very good pointers given by Imad Disher, the following may be helpful:
1. Peak broadening could be due to strain, and decrease in crystallite size during plastic deformation
2. If it is residual stress - the maximum magnitude will be the yield strength. In addition, during cold rolling you are plastically deforming the material. Therefore, you consider both plastic and elastic strain.
3. Total plastic strain can be given by: strain = Burger's vector x dislocation density x average distance the dislocations moved
