Which kind of micro-organisms that produce a golden pigment are able to grow on salted cottage cheese?

After one week of leaving a homemade piece of cottage cheese (very salted) in the refrigerator, I have noticed a reddish-golden colour started to appear on the surface. It seems to me like bacterial colonies, which may be useful for lab work.
