Scimago (SJR) and Clarivate Analytics (SCI/SCIE) are probably the most prominent ranking systems for scientific journals. SJR is more inclusive, but Clarivate claims to have higher standards for including journals. However, journals ranked by both systems are not sorted in the same way. A journal could be better than another one based on SJR and not better according to SCI.

the difference is that the first will receive little attention and the second considerably more
First selection (in your field of interest) should based on IF and Citescore.

There is some difference between an SCI, SCIE and SCImago journal such as The Science Citation Index (SCI), The Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) and The SCImago Journal & Country Rank. So the scientific need requires diversity in use, just as the need for diversification of food and medicine in our life.

I agree with Grzegorz Boczkaj . Don't give too much credence to Journal Scores. They are all flawed.
