As a veterinarian, and later specialized in the field of public health/food microbiology, I prefer qualified journals in my field of expertise, and for me, they are (Comparative Immunology, Microbiology, and Infectious Diseases, Veterinary world, and international journal of one health) which are the best in my field.
in my very specific sector, related to "Corrosion and protection of materials", the reference magazine for me is Corrosion Science, while at national level I like La Metallurgia Italiana and Pitture e vernici - European Coatings because the paper is dual language (Italian and English) as summarized in the first, entirely in the second.

Dear G. Stephen we work in the fields of inorganic and organometallic chemistry. There are numerous good journals available to publish chemical research. We always try to publish our research in international, peer-reviewed journals. In order to avoid predatory publishers, we always choose established and well-known publishers such as Elsevier, Wiley, Springer or Taylor & Francis. Especially for chemistry publishing there are two more renowned publishers available, namely the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) in the UK and the American Chemical Society (ACS). With an impact factor of 14.612 the Journal of the American Chemical Society is one of the top chemical journals.
G. Stephen, quite a number of my articles on RG and Google Scholar have been published by Springer, Emerald, Wiley and Taylor and Francis and Sage. Good luck with your research.
