The journal “Journal of Natural Remedies” with ISSN 0972-5547 e-ISSN 2320-3358 is indeed Scopus indexed: https://www.scopus.com/sourceid/21100795043 Scopus refer to a non-functional link to the publisher “Informatics Publishing Limited” (http://www.informaticsjournals.com/index.php/jnr/issue/view/898). The link you mentioned: http://www.informaticsjournals.in/index.php/jnr/search/authors does seem to work. If you check the number of papers in for example 2020 this corresponds with the number of papers mentioned in the Scopus content coverage (29 documents). Indicating that this is the real one.
However, the other link has more than 100 papers included (stopped counting somewhere in October and this number is without the special issues!). This is a strong indication that the first link you mentioned is fake. There are more red flags for the https://jnronline.com/ojs/index.php/about/about/contact and https://jnronline.com/ links:
-Contact info lacks physical address and Gmail address for nameless editor
-Site mentions publication fee but not how much (while the other link does)
-I checked the (false) claim being indexed in Clarivate’s ESCI (https://mjl.clarivate.com/journal-profile) and the (legit) journal is included in the Biological Abstracts and is linked to the “Informaticsjournals” publisher site and NOT the jnronline link
So, yes, the jnronline one is most likely the hijacked version. The informatics one seems to be legit http://www.informaticsjournals.in/index.php/jnr/search/authors (by the way the papers look way more professional and have an official DOI).
Best regards.
PS. I will include this one in the list of new (and yet not listed) examples of hijacked journals: https://www.researchgate.net/post/New_very_misleading_type_of_scam_Anyone_with_recent_examples
Update: 10-06-2021 it is already identified as hijacked, see: https://ugccare.unipune.ac.in/Apps1/User/Web/CloneJournalsGroupII
Prof. it is a good question. Many researchers find two or three or sometimes four different web pages for a single journal, everyone gets confused. Many fake journals have entered into malpractice.
Dear Ramkumar R. do read my previous reply: you mention the fake one. The legit one is: http://www.informaticsjournals.in/index.php/jnr/search/authors See also the added update remark: "Update: 10-06-2021 it is already identified as hijacked, see: https://ugccare.unipune.ac.in/Apps1/User/Web/CloneJournalsGroupII"
The publisher behind the journal “Journal of Natural Remedies” is “Informatics Publishing Limited”. They have another journal indexed in Scopus since 2020 called “Journal of Biological Control” (see enclosed file). Here Scopus also refer to the informatics publisher, confirming that they are the only real publisher for both journals. However, they link to informaticsjournals.com sites that are non-functional. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon that Scopus links to the wrong (sometimes even the hijacked one!). http://informaticsjournals.in/ and http://informaticsjournals.in/index.php/index/search/journals are the real and legit sites.
If you look at http://informaticsjournals.in/index.php/index/search/journals and scroll down to “Journal of Natural Remedies” you see the warning that https://jnronline.com/ is fake.
You are right that the site is not perfectly secured in terms of https and so on. However, I get no warning when accessing the site (while having more than proper software installed against things like phishing, virus and malware ones etc.).
So, I agree it might be a good thing that they upgrade their whole server infrastructure and upgrade their software configuration and so on. Srikanth Jeyabalan before submitting you might ask one of the editors about this matter, but I feel that beside this the journal (and publisher behind) is a pretty safe choice (while the https://jnronline.com/ is certainly not).
Best regards.
PS. Dear Srikanth Jeyabalan I would advise to start here: http://informaticsjournals.in/ and if you want to proceed with them register and take it from there. Good luck and all the best.
