I would add to Ioan David' recommendation this one, in the Amit Jha response, especially because this book introduces to numerical treatment of the equations:
M. Hanif Chaudhry, Open Channel Flow, Prentice Hall, 1993.
I had studied from Flow in open channels by Prof. K. Subramanya (Tata McGraw-Hill Education, 2009) and Open channel flow by Prof. Ven Te Chow (McGRAW-HILL London, 1959) for my Bachelors and Masters studies. The books are very well-written supported by a good number of practical examples and numerical problems.
For my PhD research work on Hydraulics, I have referred to Fluvial hydrodynamics by Prof. S. Dey (Berlin: Springer, 2014). It covers an impressive range of topics in the field of fluvial hydraulics and sediment transport.
I feel these three books to be highly recommended to students and researchers.
I recommend the book "Hidráulica de Canales", by Alcides León Méndez and Armando Estopiñán Pérez, ISBN: 978-959-07-0722-3, 2007 edition; and the book "Obras Hidráulicas para Canales", by Alcides León Méndez, ISBN: 978-959-07-2211-0, 2017 edition. The latter was highly awarded by literary critics in Cuba.
