There are new architecture and interface groups springing up weekly for Internet of Things, see for example the Open Interconnect Consortium v AllSeen Alliance as 2 Intel or Qualcomm-allied efforts to be the One True IoT standard.

Not to mention the IOT WSN, Fi_ware, and oneM2M consortia already mentioned by other commenters.

My bet is on 'none of the above' ; ) - what may be coming as an over and underlay I will hope to have more to say about soon; but for now a glance at the attached 2 IoT slides from a TM Forum presentation, and related Workplace as a Service white paper, may offer a more - encompassing - model.

Actually I want to some research activity in the domain of IoT, I am bit confused regarding where to start and which issue to explore the most. Is there any one who is doing research in any domain of IoT?
