in my lab we use 600 nm to measure cell density, but i've been reading some articles where they use 610 nm or 660 nm, so I just wondered what differences may arrise from one to another, and which wavelength range is best for this purpose.

The wavelength depends on media culture when PDA using in yeasts growth, 600-650 nm is very best.
Or The high absorption can be found by standard curve (start from 580 nm to 700 nm).
