I've seen several programs to estimate the diffusion kurtosis parameters. Which one do you think is the best and most reliable to extract DK metric?
The MRtrix3 software package includes a suite of tools for image analysis and visualisation. With the exception of mrview and shview, all MRtrix3 executables are designed to be run via a terminal using a consistent commandline interface. While many of the tools and features are discussed within tutorials found in this documentation, a comprehensive List of MRtrix3 commands can be found in the reference section. These lists provide links to the help page (manual) for each executable, which can also be accessed by typing the -help option after the executable name on the terminal.

Statistical Analysis
Given the wide age range in our study population and the previously documented age-related changes in diffusion parameters in white matter (19), we corrected parameter values in the NAWM and PLIC for age, on the basis of the average age of the complete patient group (54 years) and the slope of the linear regression of the respective parameter value versus age in the NAWM or PLIC. Statistical analysis was performed by three authors (S.V.C., R.R.P., and F.D.K. [with 10 years of experience]).
