I have a question: between the software Covidence, JBI SUMARI and Rayyan, which is the most appropriate and functional for conducting a scoping review?
I will appreciate any feedback/reported experience in this regard.
we've been using Rayyan lately, mainly because it is free to use. We liked it because it is user friendly, web-based, easily allows a team based approach, using tags and comments to leave a trail of your decisions. It is useful for the article screening but all the other processes are to be done by hand (search, full text retrieval and upload, etc.).
As far as I know (although I never personally used them) Covidence has more functions and so does DistillerSR, as they allow, to different degrees, to automate some of the processes (es. search, screening, full text retrieval).
