I am using xenografts ( lung cancer tissue) and need to evaluate fibrosis. I am planning to do Picrousirius red staining, but I am not sure about the precise quantification. I was wondering if there is a better way to do it. Thanks!
Maybe a percentage of tissue that is fibrotic from 10-100% in increments.
Qualitative Minimal, mild, moderate and severe (chronic Hepatitis quantified by allocating scores to variable degrees 1,2,3 mild, moderate and severe. Image analysis programs could give you percentages or areas.

you can do Masson's trichrome or picrosirius red staining for qualitative assessment.
