I feel that one should select publications according to the most appropriate one for one's research. If one has a rather narrow range of research expertise then he/she would stay with similar journals. In case the profile is rather broad then this would be reflected also in the choice of journals.

Shortly, if possible, publishing the articles in different journals is better than publishing in similar journals.

Publishing with the same journal sounds some unwanted relations with the editor.

I agree with the latter answer, but I suggest you to focus on your research. It may be understandable that your research field is the same, but the type of research may vary.
