Which inventions can protect innocent acid attack victims ?

Acid attack victims and their families forced to live an horrible lives, with no fault of their own. Pain, enourmous costs of treatments with little benefits and loss of self-esteem makes their lives a living hell. Can we scientists discover a simple invention, which will protect the face in case of an acid attack , such as acid-resistant scarf, acid-resistant makeup ?
